         New Island Hospital Employee Award Ceremony

New Island held its Award Ceremony to recognize dedicated long term employees on October 27, 2008 at the Westbury Manor. These staff members have been continuously employed at New Island for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years. New Island had three employees reaching the 40 year mark; Charles Byrnes, Monserate Del Valle and Linda Hogan. They received uproar applause from the entire hospital staff attending the ceremony.

Throughout the cocktail hour and dinner, staff enjoyed each other's company and reflected on the past and present with joyful stories. New Island Hospital President and CEO Aaron E. Glatt, MD thanked each of the employees for their profound dedication to the hospital and to the patients in their care.
