New Island Hospital Requests Community Input
New Island Hospital is developing a three-year Community Service Plan that will become the basis for prioritizing and coordinating the resources needed to provide our neighbors with the best possible health care. In order to create an effective plan, our first step must be to gather input from the community we serve. So, we're asking you to share your ideas and concerns about the services you would like us to enhance, expand or introduce.
Please take a few moments to provide your feedback by sending an email to csp@nihli.org, or writing to CSP / Community Relations, New Island Hospital, 4295 Hempstead Turnpike, Bethpage, NY 11714. This invitation is extended to all community members, including individual residents and their families, physicians, EMS personnel, civic organizations, local businesses and their employees and, effectively, to anyone who is presently within the hospital's general service area and/or who may avail themselves of our Hospital's services in the future.
The advancements at New Island Hospital are already underway: - Stroke Center designation by the New York State Department of Health
- Outpatient Balance/Vestibular testing and Physical Therapy Rehabilitation
- Expanded capacity and prompt appointments for Sleep Center services
- Enhanced the Hyperbaric and Wound Healing Center's physical environment, as well as the clinical treatments/procedures for resolving non-healing wounds and diabetic ulcers
- Expanded ability and hours of operation for providing outpatient Radiology services with virtually no waiting time
- In the process of completing the installation and operation of in-house inpatient/outpatient MRI diagnostic services
The New Island Hospital Administration and Governing Body thank you for your time.
