Award Given to New Island for Record Breaking Blood Donations

New Island Hospital Receives Award for

                   Record Breaking Blood Donations

It is with great pleasure that New Island Hospital announces that the Long Island Blood Services has just recognized them for their record breaking blood donations, with the award "Highest Number of Blood Donations" for a hospital their size. The 217 Blood Donations we gave in 2007 represented the most ever donated. The hospital will be honored at a special ceremony on March 6th at the Nassau Suffolk Hospital Council.

Aaron E. Glatt, MD, President & CEO of New Island Hospital thanked all of the employees who donated or helped in this great humanitarian effort. He said, "Blood supplies are at a critical shortage, and New Island again has a chance to do our part in 2008. We invite the community to join us in this effort."

Help save lives in your community. Someone you know may need it!

Our next blood drive is on January 30th

From 7 am to 5:45 pm
