Retired Physician Gives Generously to New Island Hospital                            

Dr. Joseph Dottino an Obstetrician & Gynecologist, practiced at New Island Hospital from August 1, 1955 to November 15, 2004, and during that time he brought over 25,000 baby boomers and some of their children into this world. He and his lovely wife, Ruth gave a very generous donation to New Island Hospital, and have affectionately dedicated the M Unit Nursing Station in recognition of Ms. Camille Rost, RN, the Assistant Head Nurse, who so expertly managed the Labor & Delivery Rooms, and to her staff for the invaluable contribution that their compassion made everyday for his patients.

Aaron E. Glatt, MD, President & CEO of New Island Hospital personally met with Dr. & Mrs. Dottino and invited them as his guest to attend the hospital Sunshine Ball on Saturday, February 9, 2008.
