          New Island Hospital Appoints New Vice President of 
                               Patient Care Services

Margaret A. Minnick RN, MSN has been appointed Vice President of Patient Care Services at New Island Hospital. Ms. Minnick comes to New Island from North Shore University Hospital, Forest Hills where she recently held the position of Deputy Nurse Executive. Ms. Minnick has years of experience in clinical leadership, customer satisfaction, quality improvement and fiscal management at North Shore University Hospital Manhasset as Assistant Director of Patient Care Services-Medicine, then progressed to Patient Care Supervisor and then to Director of Service Excellence.

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Molloy College and Master's in Nursing from Adelphi University and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, and AONE.   She has held senior leadership positions at St. Francis -The Heart Hospital, United Presbyterian Residence, Brunswick Hospital, North Shore University Hospital Manhasset and Forest Hills. Within these roles, she developed infrastructure to insure quality customer satisfaction, provided leadership, direction and vision for service excellence, recruitment & retention of staff, Joint Commission preparation, implemented & coordinated A.N.A. standards of nursing and managed day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department and quality & risk management.

New Island welcomes Ms. Minnick and looks forward to her vision and leadership in the many areas of service improvement that is the current priority of the hospital.
