New Service Excellence Program


 

New Island Hospital has instituted a new innovative and interactive Service Excellence Program. All employees of the hospital attend an instructive class offered days, evenings and nights, to learn how to deliver service excellence to patients, their families and visitors. Courtesy, prompt decision making and permanent problem resolution is the key to helping people when they have a problem. Employees learn how to carefully listen and take the time to hear correctly what the patient is saying and then to fix the situation.


Employees also learn to assess the patients total environment and anticipate any other needs before the leaving the room. New Island Hospital is now being managed just like a five star hotel and patients are responding. New Island has the highest patient satisfaction scores in the history of the hospital. In combination with Management Rounding, a daily visit to patients by every member of the management staff, New Island is catering to patients like never before and is providing an intensely high level of customer service with great results.
