Health Care Executive Thanks New Island

I wanted to take an opportunity to comment on my recent experience at New Island Hospital.  As a health care executive managing networks of physicians on Long Island for the last 10 years, I had heard of New Island Hospital but like so many, I knew little of real substance about the facility.  And what I had heard was not always flattering.  Surrounded by Health System hospitals and "wannabes", it is not always easy to carve out a reasonable existence or reputation as an independent institution.

Four weeks ago, I broke my shoulder.  I was seen by Dr. Jonathan Ticker who recommended surgery and strongly suggested New Island Hospital.  I was apprehensive, more from my lack of knowledge, but agreed based solely on Dr. Ticker's strong endorsement.

The environment and staff were exceptional.  The service superb.  No hassles or insurance snafus.   The surgery went off without incident and I was discharged without a complication.  No logistical issues.  I was impressed with the precision of your ORs and, the caring and open attitude of the staff in Pre- and Post-Op. Based on my albeit limited experience, I would highly recommend your facility.   My thanks to you, your management team and employees.
