New Island's Amazing ER Staff

I am writing to you about one of your emergency room physicians, Dr. Bruni. He is wonderful and I remember him from a previous visit to your ER when he found the pulmonary embolism that was giving me such pain. He sent me for a Cat Scan and there it was. I recently came to New Island again and was under the care of Dr. Bruni. He is exceptional not only in his abilities as a physician, but his demeanor and bedside manner. It is one I will never forget again. He took the time to talk with me and tell me exactly what they found. I actually hugged him and thanked him for making me feel better, both mentally and physically. He was so kind and consoling that I didn't even mind having to go through this alone, as my husband and family were away and I was alone.

During this stay I also met a wonderful employee, Brendan Keys, NP. When someone does a good job or goes above and beyond, it should not go un-noticed or unappreciated. I thank him very much for his kind, expert care.

I have to say, that is was an exceptional day in the ER and I had the good fortune to witness firsthand what these doctors and nurses go through physically and mentally. I watched many things that happened with different patients and then I remembered, that I am also in the care of these amazing people, all willing to do whatever they have to do to save you, make you better or put that proverbial band-aid on and send you on your way.
